Bebe Cool was not impressed by politicians who took to the podium at Kato Lubwama's vigil to advance their political agendas.

Bebe Cool scoffed at the politicians and said it is inhumane to campaign or discuss political issues at a vigil.

“We need to respect the dead. I have always wanted to say this, but today I have gathered myself. A vigil or burial is for mourning not advancing political agendas. Let’s style up,” he said.

Bebe Cool said the Baganda culture doesn’t allow that and he encourages politicians to take his words seriously.

Other mourners disagreed with him.

“If we are at the vigil of a person who was a political leader, it doesn’t hurt to talk about politics,” said Mamuli Katumba.

Kato Lubwama died on Wednesday this week and he is expected to be buried next week in Nkozi.
