Renowned Ugandan musician Bobi Wine has said that he regrets releasing some of the songs he made in his youthful days.

In an interview with a local media outlet, Wine said that he was "an errant artist" at the time and that he was "saying it as it is," including words and statements that "everyone else was afraid to say."

Wine said that some of the songs he made during that time, he is "not proud of today."

He specifically mentioned the song "Mr. Kataala," in which he directly attacked fellow musician Bebe Cool, his wife, and their family. Wine said that he does not regret releasing that song, however, and that he would still release it today.

Wine's comments have sparked a debate on social media, with some people supporting his right to free speech and others criticizing him for his attacks on Bebe Cool's family.
