Swangz Avenue singer Priscilla Zawedde, known as Azawi, has recently expressed her dissatisfaction with claims made by fellow singer Bebe Cool regarding his financial situation.
Azawi went as far as advising Bebe Cool to leave the music industry if he truly lacks the resources.
Bebe Cool took to social media to assert that he lacks the necessary funds and urged the government to invest in him so that he could assist emerging artists. He partly noted in a long post on social media,
"Chameleone and I have spent our entire careers trying to earn a living. It's been hard to uplift youngsters because we do not have the financial muscle to uphold our personal careers at the highest level for the longest time like we have done, and at the same time invest in young artists by creating functional and vibrating music labels. But we have tried and done our best. Government support to us is welcome. Look at some big companies which collapsed due to Covid after effects. Many companies needed government push."
Azawi, however, strongly disagreed with this viewpoint.
The Quinamino singer emphasized that both Chameleone and Bebe Cool have successfully built opulent mansions and owned some of the most luxurious cars in the country.
If Bebe Cool claims to be financially disadvantaged, Azawi suggested that he should consider leaving the industry and seeking financial opportunities elsewhere.
She said, "If Bebe Cool doesn't have money like he claims, why doesn't he leave the music industry and go do other things?"
