Musician Wycliff Tugume, aka Ykee Benda, has been in the industry for over ten years. He made his breakthrough in 2016 with the collaboration "Farmer," in which he featured Sheebah Karungi.

Ykee Benda, who recently took a break from music to focus on other personal ventures, now says he considers himself an upcoming musician.

He explained that he is starting afresh and will use every opportunity to get back to the top.

"Right now, I consider myself an upcoming musician because I am back to the drawing board. I am starting again, and when I do that, I always take myself back," he said in part during a local television interview.

The Mpaka Records boss also revealed that he will remain an active musician for only the next seven years, after which he plans to transition into artist management.
