Fangone Forest boss Alien Skin has urged fellow Ugandan musicians to return their focus to music now that the campaign season has come to an end.
During the recently concluded general elections, musicians were highly visible on the campaign trail, moving across the country alongside politicians in search of votes.
However, Alien Skin says the political season is now behind them and it is time for artistes to go back to the studio and let their music do the talking.
Speaking in an interview with a local television station, the Sitya Danger hitmaker emphasized that there are no more excuses or room for sympathy.
“Now that elections and rallies are over, Ugandan musicians need to face reality. While some of you were chasing politics and sympathy, it’s time for music to speak. There are no excuses now. If you choose politics, that is your choice, but the term is set and there is a long break from politics ahead. Let the music talk,” Alien Skin said.
The Fangone Forest boss believes that politics distracted many musicians from their craft, leading to slowed musical output, a trend he says should not continue moving forward.
Alien Skin insists that artistes must now refocus, work harder, and reclaim the spotlight through consistent music releases rather than political alignment.
