Ugandan artists have picked up the Nigerian afro-pop style of music and it's evident that their slangs have found there way into our developing music industry. So, I did some digging after Fille Mutoni, better known as just FIlle, hinted at releasing a new song titled "OLE". I wanted to know what the word means and I learnt it is a slang that is used to mean "Lazy Person" or "Thief".
So, what is going on here. Who is Fille singing about this time ... it's certainly not Mc Kats and um ... not God for blessing her with a child.
The other word Olé is used in soccer or any sport where one person performs a great feat of skill and then screams Olé!! to humiliate the person they did it against -- definitely not what she meant.
The meaning of the song titled still remains clock-and-dagger. We only hope she doesn't shock us with something she might never unsing.
