The police deputy spokesperson Polly Namaye has called upon city dwellers to stay on the alert after three bags were abandoned in the city center, creating a bomb scare.

This morning, traders were thrown into panic when the three bags were found. The police bomb squad later came in and opened the bags only to find stones and a letter to President Museveni on the just concluded presidential election.

Ms. Namaye called upon Ugandans to report any neighbors or friends who frequently change their ways of living, like buying new clothes, eating better food than they used to, buying new cars, as these could be getting money from terrorist organizations.

She also asks them to keep away from abandoned items like bags and belts. Namaye says its not safe to touch such items, but urges citizens to immediately call the police.

The letter found in the bag was declaring FDC’s Kiiza Besigye as the President with 57.6%, while President Museveni was given only 40%.

The letter read: “After a partisem, unindependently, and incompetent electoral commission under the perpetual leadership of Dr. Badru Kiggundu, failed to declare the right results, to the people of Uganda, National Youth Activists (The Red Top Brigade) have decided to declare the rightful results.
