The Kampala capital city Authority, KCCA through the (LVEMP II) has today launched its newly established resource center.
The launch took place this afternoon at Nakivubo Blue Primary School.
In his speech read by Florence Grace Adongo, Director Water resources management, the minister of water environment said 120 million shillings was invested in the project.
“I am reliably informed that the total investment of this facility was to a tune of 120 million shillings, and KCCA was able to deliver the facility within a period of one year, notwithstanding the procurement bottlenecks, we normally experience with such undertakings,” Adongo read.
The minister congratulated KCCA on the work well done, indicating that a total of 70 schools with in Kampala capital city authority will directly benefit from it, with a huge multiplier touch on the communities where the children come from.
The project is also implemented under the guidelines of the East African community arrangement for all countries to restore the degraded ecosystem of Lake Victoria.
