President Yoweri Museveni has appointed and deployed new permanent secretaries in different ministries.

According to a list seen by this website, the president appointed John Mitala as the head of public service and secretary to Cabinet, and he will be deputized by Vincent Opio-Lukone.

Lucy Nakyobe Mbonye goes to state house, Deborah Katuramu to the president’s office, Christine Gwatudde Kintu joins office of the Prime Minister, Catherine Musingwiire to public service, Dorcas Okalany to Lands housing and urban development, while Bageya Waiswa goes to the ministry of works and transport.

Others are; Alfred Okot Okidi ministry of water and environment, Dr. Stephen Isabaliija to ministry of energy and mineral development, Pius Bigirimana remains at the ministry of Gender, Labour and social development, Amb. Patrick Mugoya ministry of Foreign Affairs, Alex Okello ministry of Ethics, among others as seen on list attached.

The president also confirmed the appointment of Dr. Diana Atwiine as permanent secretary ministry of health.

Meanwhile, Eng. Kabaganbe Kaliisa becomes Senior Presidential Advisor on Oil, Gas and Minerals, Mary Amajo becomes Senior Presidential Advisor on public service, Major Edith Nakalema becomes Personal Assistant to the president and Major Night Ikiriza becomes Deputy personal assistant to the president.
