Yesterday, Democratic Party (DP) Secretary General Mathias Nsubuga was admitted at Case Clinic in Kampala after suffering a massive stroke.
Now news coming indicates he has succumbed to the same illness this evening.
On Saturday, the party released a statement saying that Nsubuga had suffered what it called a "massive stroke" the day before at Mukono Bookshop.
At Case Clinic's Intensive Care Unit (ICU), the party said on Saturday that Nsubuga was "under scrutiny of physicians" who were trying to establish the cause of the stroke.
"There are enormous tests that have been carried out and results show that his brain and all the organs are still operative," read the statement.
