Two of Uganda’s pre-eminent golf clubs go head to head this weekend as Uganda Golf Club and Entebbe Club face off at the Kitante Golf Course. Earlier this year, the two UGC took on Entebbe Club in a match that saw the latter walk away with a one-point win.

Now the two clubs return for the second leg this Saturday, 6 May in a tourney played on a four ball better ball, match play format. The contest is expected to bring together more than 40 pairs, with at least 160 players likely to feature in the Johnnie Walker Blue Label-sponsored event.

“The purpose of the tournament is to strengthen the relationship between the two biggest clubs in Uganda. Entebbe won the first leg by one point and expects to put up a good fight this weekend,” said Oscar Semawere, the vice president of the Entebbe Club.

The tourney will be an annual event, rotated between the two clubs.
