Police Recovers gun, uniform, boots after gun exchange with thugs in Namisindwa

Police One gun has been recovered by in Namisindwa District from a suspected criminal following an exchange of fire between the police and the suspected thugs.

The exchange took place on Monday at Tsekululu-Bwabwala Road in Namisindwa district and officers also recovered police shoes, a pair of police uniform of the Field Force Unit and a torch.  

According to John Robert Tukei, the Elgon Police Spokesperson, after the incident, police conducted a search and managed to arrest one suspect.  

Police is yet to establish the motive of the thugs to exchange fire with police and investigations are still ongoing.
