Security operatives from Uganda Police Force and Uganda People’s Defense Forces are investigating another explosion that has occurred in Nakaseke district at around 8;00am this morning.

It is reporter that an explosive device launched from an unknown place  landed at the home of Sam Jjooga in Nvunanwa village in Semuto sub county where it exploded.

According to Jjooga, he narrowly survived death because the device exploded near a site where he was burning rubbish which he had collected from the compound, a few minutes after he returned to the house to take tea.

Jjooga’s grandson Denis Katamba who was away in the garden says he saw the device flying before it hit the ground and exploded leaving a hole in the compound.

The Savannah Regional Police Spokesperson Isah Ssemwogerere says that upon receiving the information, police officers rushed to the scene and cordoned off the place before embarking on investigations in the matter.

They also contacted bomb experts at Peace Support Operations Centre in Singo Military Barracks to manage the scene and establish the source as well as the type of the device that exploded.
