Following attacks from some political leaders, the Kitagwenda District Chief Administrative Officer David Lubuka has been transferred to Kapelabyong District.

Lubuuka assumed office as Kitagwenda district CAO on February 10, 2021 serving for only one year.

However, things became hard for Lubuka when some unknown people locked his office in January this year, after breaking the door glasses and chaining the door frames with two padlocks.

He was accused of involving himself in conflicts with politicians and civil servants in the district.

This prompted the State Minister of local government Victoria Businge Rusoke to intervene in the conflict between the CAO and political leaders.

Richard Ssebandeke has now been appointed to replace who handed him the office at a function held Thursday.
Lubuka asked the new CAO to follow up on district commitments such as local revenue collection, the Dura Limestone quarry conflict, and to also maintain staff discipline and ensure a good working relationship between the technical staff and political leaders.

The Kitagwenda district LCV Chairperson Ismail Mushemeza urged the new CAO to create a good working environment for civil servants and politicians, and fight against corruption and shoddy work in the district.
