
The Police at Kibuku are investigating the circumstances under which two men were kidnapped by unknown persons and later dumped by the roadside. The incident happened on Sunday evening at about 5:00 pm.
According to Tambaki Ronald a 24-year-old resident of Rweta C village in Pallisa district who is a turn man of Fuso box body Reg No UAF 199W, they were attacked by robbers who robbed unspecified amount of cash from the cashier identified as Pande Alex before kidnapping him along with the driver identified as Mukungu Geoffrey.
The Fuso truck was carrying Bidco products from Budaka heading to Pallisa using Kibuku Saala road.
According to ASP Immaculate Alaso the PRO Bukedi North Region, the vehicle was allegedly intercepted by 5 people (2 dressed in an army like uniform and 3 in civilian) with one rifle and travelling in a Harrier along Saala swamp, Saala village, Saala parish in Kibuku district.
They left behind 3 people (1 turn man and 2 loaders at the scene).
The two kidnapped people were later dropped off by the robbers along Kibuku-Budaka road and were rescued by Budaka police. They have since been transferred to Kibuku Police Station for further management.

Efforts are underway with the use of our CCTV cameras to help us trace and identify the whereabouts of the said harrier vehicle
