The Police at Old Kampala have launched an investigation into a suspected case of murder by hanging which occurred at Masiro Zone 3 of Nakulabye Parish, Rubaga Division.
The incident was reported earlier today at 0646 hours by Boda Boda riders, who discovered the body of an unidentified male adult in his early 30s hanging from a tree with both hands tied together.
ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, the Deputy PRO Kampala Metropolitan Police says that Nakulabye Police, in collaboration with officers from the Uganda People's Defense Force (UPDF), cordoned off the scene to secure crucial evidence.
"We are fully committed to thoroughly investigating this incident to shed light on the tragic loss of life," said Owoyesigyire. Adding "We encourage the public to assist us in our inquiries, and we assure full confidentiality to those who provide information."
