Construction of the first phase of Kabalega International Airport Hoima began in 2018 and is now 96.1% complete, with an expected completion date of August 13, 2025.

This airport is a vital infrastructure project set to greatly boost Uganda’s emerging petroleum industry, as well as tourism and agriculture.

An additional UGX 76,085,000,000 is needed to complete the remaining activities under the Operational Readiness, Activation, and Transition (ORAT) phase.
