On Saturday last week, it was reported that Gilbert Arinaitwe Bwana, a police officer was arrested over allegations of rape. Bwana was accused of raping a school going child.
Information leaked that sometime last week, a city woman stormed CID headquarters demanding for counseling of her daughter over sexual violence and was not concentrating in school.
By that time, Bwana was the officer in charge of sexual and gender based Violence office and promised to help the old woman. The two exchanged contacts and promised to meet for more counseling.
According to the police Spokesperson, Asan Kasingye, he reveals that Bwana later got in touch with the woman and asked her to deliver the daughter in Nakawa. He later put the young girl in his car and later raped her.
Sources at the CID headquarters say Bwana was called to report at the headquarters to explain himself. When he reached that station he was told to put down his pistol and was instantly arrested and put in custody.
On Sunday, while praying for his following, City Pastor Bujingo attacked Bwana who once tortured the FDC leader, Kizza Besigye. He termed him as a devil wearing police Uniform. He prayed for him to receive his punishment accordingly.
