Chameleone: I Didn’t Borrow Any Money to Finance Campaigns 

For many politicians, the campaign season leaves them with a burden of debts. Many acquire heavy loans to finance campaigns. Stories of some politicians losing property after failing to service the loans are so common.

Recounting the failed attempt to become Kampala City Mayor, singer Jose Chameleone expressed gratitude that he was able to go through the campaigns without getting loans.

In an interview, he revealed that the campaigns drained him financially but he used money only from his coffers to chase his mission.

Chameleone said he is will come again in 2026.
