On Friday night, President Museveni stated new measures to contain the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
These included; immediate closure of crowded places, private and public transport.
According to medical experts, the situation in the country is worsening compared to the first wave which hit the country last year.
Musician Weasel Manizo was not aware of the new measures as he was arrested for ignoring the president's orders.
Intoxicated Weasel Manizo was arrested along Salaama Road at around midday on Saturday.
He did not have a reasonable excuse that kept him on the road.
He clashed with the officers that had intercepted him but in the end, he was arrested and sent to Salaama Road police station where he spent the next hours of the day only to be released late in the evening.
Recently, the authorities announced fines for those found flouting the COVID-19 directives.
