Legendary musician Gerald Kiwewa was the center of attention over the weekend after an upcoming musician Mukunja Atasera attacked and slapped him on stage for allegedly chewing money meant for a section of folk musicians.
Mulunja was part of a group that went to Gulu with Kiwewa to ask for financial help from Gen Salim Saleh.
Kiwewa allegedly got over 100M to distribute evenly but declared only 50M.
“It is true I got money from Saleh but it wasn’t 100M. Some say 200M, but the truth is I got on 50M. I distributed the money to some members. Others didn’t get it, and they are right to be annoyed,” Kiwewa said in an interview.
It should be noted that Mukunja was dragged off stage by security but he was saved by sympathizers who talked to them to release him.
