Counsel Male Mabirizi filed a case against Pastor Bugingo and his lover, Susan Makula for breaching customary marriage norms of Uganda.
In a lawsuit filed by Mabirizi, he says that the couple violated the Customary Marriage Law, which prohibits married people from remarrying before the divorce.
The court later summoned Frank Gashumba and Kato Lubwama and James Sekubuge to testify about what transpired at Suzan Makula's home when Bugingo visited. He also petitioned the court to issue an arrest warrant for the three.
The outspoken Gashumba says he is not ready to appear before the court.
He says Mabirizi has no case and is just wasting the court's time.
"Who is Mabirizi in this country? I know Mabirizi personally because I have ever facilitated his works. He has never won any case in his life. Someone must do a DNA is on him. Mabirizi has no right to summon me in court. I can only be summoned by a court, not a human being," he asks.
"If the court summons me, I can go but Mabirizi, he is a joker. I even have Mabirizi’s phone number, but I can’t even call him. The fact is Male Mabirizi has never filed any case, it is Robert Rutaro who filed the case in Entebbe court, and it is on record," he alleges that it's a one Robert who filed the case and not Mabirizi.
Male Mabirizi is on record to have filed a case against Kabaka Ronald Muwenda, President Museveni, and Bobi Wine.
