Musician Geosteady has expressed disappointment with the family of late Philly Bongole Lutaaya’s family after they threatened to sue anyone who redoes a song originally sung by the late without authorization.
Geosteady describes the move as selfish and argues it prevents growth in the industry.
“I see no issue with a singer redoing a composition of a deceased musician. In fact, such an act exemplifies the potential for progress and innovation within the music industry,” Geosteady said.
Geosteady became famous after remaking Viola although there was a battle with the family.
Just recently Kenzo, Bruno K, and many others re-did Born in Africa.
