Media personality Frank Gashumba is one of the most vocal gender equality activists, particularly focusing on promoting equal rights and opportunities for women in all areas of life, including social, political, and economic.
He has long identified as a feminist and empowered different women to demand better from their husbands.
Gashumba now says he will never allow his wife to kneel before him, revealing he considers it useless.
He explained that kneeling does not bring him respect as a man, and he believes the most uniting factors in marriage are responsibility and mutual respect.
"I am not interested in someone kneeling before me. Why does my wife have to do so? It's something I disregard. Marriage is about responsibility and respect. It's the only thing I expect from my wife, and vice versa," he explained in an interview with a local television station.
Frank Gashumba maintains that a wife should have the same stake as her husband in the family to foster peace and unity for development and for the good of their children.
The media personality was last month introduced by Malaika Mutoni to her parents in Lwemiyaga.
Gashumba, in his latest interview with Sanyuka Television, explained that wedding plans are underway and he will soon be in church, wedding his wife.
