Musician Ava Peace is a Muganda by tribe, who grew up in Buganda and understands the traditional culture of the region.

The singer, however, in an interview with a local television station, embarrassed herself after she failed to mention her grandfather's name.

While discussing her culture and traditions, the singer was tasked with mentioning her grandfather's name but failed, revealing she didn't have any information about him.

She explained that her grandfather passed away years ago, and she didn't know anything about him. She, however, states that she is a member of the "Nte" Clan of Buganda Kingdom.

Netizens have since shifted the blame to her parents for raising a girl child without proper upbringing.

In Africa, family is one of the most respected virtues. Children grow up with a proper understanding of their family members, and in most cases, children are named after their ancestors.

They believe death only keeps people away from them, but their souls continue to live through the young blood.

It's one of the reasons many African parents encourage their children to have children early in their adulthood.
