Struggling musician Fik Gaza earlier this month officially joined the National Resistance Movement, ending his ties with the National Unity Platform.
He has since been praising President Museveni and the ruling party at every opportunity.
Fik Gaza has seemingly made it a priority for the President to recognize him and is doing everything possible to find a place within the ruling party, while simultaneously disparaging the National Unity Platform.
Addressing a rally at Kololo over the weekend, Fik Gaza revealed he was fooled by Bobi Wine into supporting the National Unity Platform. He apologized for remaining "in darkness" for so long while ignoring the "light" in the NRM.
"I stayed long in darkness. We were fooled into believing we would be liberated while in the National Unity Platform, yet President Yoweri Museveni had liberated the country years back. I love the President for his unending love for the Ghetto, and we shall support him in the coming elections," he narrated, speaking to thousands of youths gathered in the President's presence.
Fik Gaza also stated that he regrets the long time he spent in the "struggle" with the National Unity Platform, believing he could have already done valuable work with the President and the ruling government.
