Singer-turned-politician Nina Roz has expressed her surprise and gratitude after being handed the National Unity Platform (NUP) flag to contest for the Sembabule District Woman MP seat.
Speaking shortly after her endorsement, Nina Roz admitted she did not expect to win the party card due to the stiff competition among candidates, but said the victory shows the party’s trust in its people.
“I didn’t expect to win the card, but when I got it, everyone congratulated me and said I deserved it,” Nina Roz said.
The “Billboard (Kipande)” singer thanked Bobi Wine and the entire NUP leadership for believing in her, pledging to work hard and deliver victory for the party in the upcoming elections.
