South Africa-based Ugandan socialite and businesswoman Zari Hassan has dropped a piece of advice for women looking to settle down — pray for a generous man, not just a rich one.
Zari, who has lived a life of luxury and dated some of East Africa’s wealthiest men, says wealth without generosity means nothing.
“Most times women say, ‘I want a rich man,’” Zari said. “No, sweetheart — your prayer won’t come true that way. Pray for a rich man who is also generous, because there are so many wealthy men who are not generous.”
According to Zari, generosity defines a man’s true value more than the size of his bank account.
Many believe Zari speaks from experience — she was once married to the late businessman Ivan Ssemwanga, with whom she shares children, and later had kids with Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz.
Zari is currently married to Shakib Lutaaya, a youthful Ugandan entrepreneur and clothes vendor.
