Musician Ava Peace may have spent only a few years in the music industry, but she has quickly risen to become one of the fastest-growing artists in Uganda.

The singer, who has already dominated several local award platforms, says she is now shifting her focus to international recognition, particularly a Grammy Award nomination.

Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Ava Peace revealed that she remains hopeful and consistent in her efforts to reach the global stage, adding that she has continued to submit her music for Grammy consideration.

“I am still hoping for the Grammy nomination and win. I continue to submit my music because that’s the procedure — mostly my management does it for me,” she explained during the interview.

The Grammy conversation has recently become a hot topic in Uganda following Eddy Kenzo’s nomination in the category of Best African Music Performance for his collaboration with instrumentalist Mehran Matin on the track “Hope and Love.”

While some people have downplayed his nomination as luck, others argue it was a result of hard work and consistency.

For Ava Peace, the dream is alive — and she believes her moment is coming.
