Ugandan music superstars Eddy Kenzo and Bebe Cool appear to be drifting further apart as their simmering rivalry continues to dominate the entertainment and political space.
The two musicians, both actively involved in President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s campaign trail, have allegedly clashed over issues ranging from campaign influence and access to power, to money and political recognition.
Now, Kenzo has openly accused the Gagamel boss of surviving by fighting others.
Speaking in an interview with a local television station, the Presidential Advisor said he holds no personal grudge against Bebe Cool but believes confrontation is simply part of his rival’s survival strategy.
“I don’t care about Bebe Cool and his actions. I respect the people who came before me, but personally he is always fighting — he survives by that and I don’t care,” Kenzo stated.
Despite the ongoing friction, Kenzo insists his focus remains firmly on the upcoming presidential elections, which are scheduled for next month. He says his priority is to ensure that President Museveni retains power rather than engaging in endless industry battles.
The remarks have since reignited debate among fans, with supporters of both camps clashing online as the rivalry between Uganda’s music giants shows no signs of cooling down.
