Musician Sheebah Karungi has made bold remarks about fellow artiste Cindy Sanyu, suggesting that she remains relevant in the music industry partly because of their public exchanges.
Speaking during a podcast interview, Sheebah claimed that Cindy often keeps her name in conversations because of the attention it generates in the industry.
She acknowledged Cindy’s talent but argued that she holds a stronger position when it comes to business success, fan base, and hit songs.
“We all know Cindy is a talented artist, but she knows she can’t beat me in terms of business, fans, hits, and favor from God. She has to keep me in her conversations,” Sheebah said.
Sheebah added that artistes should focus on building their own careers instead of engaging in repeated public disagreements.
Her comments add another chapter to the long-running tension between the two musicians, who have occasionally clashed over influence and dominance in Uganda’s music scene.
