Controversial Ugandan socialite Bad Black has revealed plans to join active politics, announcing that she intends to contest for the Kampala Woman Member of Parliament seat in the 2031 general elections.
Speaking during a media interview, Bad Black said she is confident she can win the seat because she understands the struggles of ordinary women better than many who have held the office before.
“I am aiming to become Woman MP for Kampala, and I believe I will be voted for. I understand the people’s problems and I am sure they will support me,” she said.
Criticises Previous Leaders
Bad Black did not hold back in her criticism of former leaders, claiming those who have occupied the position before failed to do enough for the people.
“The people who have been voted into that position before have done nothing,” she added.
From Socialite to Politician?
Known for her controversial public life and strong social media presence, Bad Black’s political ambitions have already sparked mixed reactions online.
While some supporters have welcomed her bold move, others remain doubtful about her transition into politics.
With the 2031 elections still years away, her declaration has already placed her name in Uganda’s growing political conversation.
