King Saha Arrested at Home, Days to His Kololo Concert

Singer Mansur Semanda, popularly known as King Saha, was reportedly arrested at his home in Kyanja on Tuesday evening following a dramatic security operation that witnesses say involved gunfire and left at least one person injured.

The reported arrest came just hours after King Saha had been moving around Kampala mobilising fans for his much-anticipated concert scheduled for Friday at Kololo Airstrip.

According to eyewitness accounts and videos circulating on social media, armed security personnel raided the singer’s residence before taking him away to an unknown destination.

One social media user, Nahabwe Bruce, claimed armed Joint Anti-Terrorism Task Force (JATT) personnel were at King Saha’s home during the operation.

Witnesses further alleged that gunshots were fired, with one man reportedly shot in the leg. The injured person was said to have been rushed to hospital, although his condition had not been officially confirmed by press time.

Videos shared online appeared to show panic outside the singer’s residence, with people running for safety amid reports of gunfire.

Another video posted by Motiv Kasagga showed what he described as JATT personnel driving King Saha away from his premises in Kyanja.

However, the circumstances surrounding the arrest remain unclear.

Authorities had not issued an official statement explaining why King Saha was arrested or confirming where he had been taken by press time.

Earlier on Tuesday, the singer had been seen in Kampala city centre rallying supporters to attend his concert, which is scheduled for Friday at Kololo Airstrip.

The reported arrest has since triggered concern among his fans and members of the entertainment industry, with many demanding answers about his whereabouts and the reasons behind the security operation.

The development also throws uncertainty over preparations for King Saha’s upcoming concert, which is only days away.
