Singer EeZzy has opened up about the difficult period that disrupted his music career after the success of his hit song “Tumbiza Sound,” revealing that a violent attack in 2021 forced him to take a lengthy break from music.
EeZzy explained that his disappearance from the music scene was not intentional, saying he was seriously injured during the attack and required surgery.
“I did not run away. Anyone who follows me knows that in 2021, I was attacked and beaten on the head, and I underwent surgery,” he said.
The singer revealed that he spent about five months in hospital before facing further complications that required additional rest and recovery.
“I had gone to perform somewhere, and when I finished performing, a group of people attacked me. I do not know what prompted them, but it seemed like they had been sent,” he explained.
EeZzy said learning more about the circumstances surrounding the incident later increased his concerns about safety within the music industry.
“After finding out certain things about what happened and why I was beaten, it scared me, and I realised that the industry is not easy,” he said.
Despite the setback, EeZzy says he has since moved on from the difficult period and is now focused on rebuilding his music career.
