Singer Vyper Ranking has dismissed the possibility of a musical battle with veteran artiste Kid Fox, arguing that their music catalogues are too different to sustain a fair contest.
Vyper Ranking, who is known for his hit song “Nimechoka,” claims Kid Fox does not have enough widely recognised songs to compete in an hour-long musical showdown.
“Kid Fox does not have songs that can take him for an hour. The songs people know are not even more than ten,” Vyper Ranking said.
The singer expressed confidence in his own catalogue, suggesting that he has enough music to sustain a full battle.
He also advised Kid Fox to focus on releasing more songs instead of relying on other musicians’ names to attract public attention.
Kid Fox, who recently returned to Uganda after spending more than a decade in Japan, has been seeking to re-establish his position in the local music industry.
Meanwhile, Vyper Ranking says he is preparing to release more music as he targets additional concerts and live performances.
The singer revealed that he has been performing at shows upcountry as he continues to build his presence on Uganda’s live music circuit and expand his audience.
