The Member of Parliament for Bukimbiri county in Kisoro district Eddie Kwizera collapsed this morning as one contestant was speaking.

Drama ensued when two candidates, Eddie Kwizera Wagahungu of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party and his Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) rival, James Owebeyi Mugyemani fought over a campaign venue in Rubuguri town council, Kisoro district on Monday afternoon. 

High Court in Kabale has given a green light to former Bukimbiri County MP seat contestant, James Owebeyi to serve court summons to MP Eddie Kwizera through the media after failing to trace him for one month.

The Police in Kisoro district have recovered two guns abandoned in different areas of Kisoro Municipality. 

She served as the Kisoro district Woman Member of Parliament for five years.
