According to PM News, her husband said she changed her identity and obtained travel documents and traveled with his daughter without his knowledge.

Hajia Abibah had reportedly packed all her things when the husband was not around at their residence located at Adebimpe Avenue, Council bus stop, Idimu.

Alhaji Adebimpe was later informed that his wife had quit the marriage and joined her lover in U.S, adding that she never loved him in the first place despite the fact they lived together for several years as husband and wife.

The husband said she told him to forget the pregnancy and their daughter as she has given it to her lover who has accepted to foster both the child and pregnancy.

Adebimpe and his wife, Abibah got married in 2008 according to native law and customs and had performed their Muslim rites the same year. He said she got pregnant and gave birth to a baby girl named Nimotalai Adunni in August 2013.

The husband who at a loss over the paternity of the baby and pregnancy wrote a petition to the Nigerian Immigration Service and American Embassy in Nigeria, seeking for their intervention to bring back his daughter from the United States.

Alhaji Adebimpe in the petition dated Tuesday, October 13, titled ‘A Case of Eloping, Abduction and Child Trafficking’, alleged that Abibah deceived him into marriage without knowing that she had unholy and devilish mission and tried on several occasions to dupe him to no avail.
