Police says one body is still unclaimed after the unfortunate incident at entebbe beaches where 13 people drowned and died under mysterious circumstances.
speaking to the press this afternoon, police spokesperson Enanga Fred said 12 bodies had been claimed and buried by family members, while one remains at the city mortuary.
He also says the police in conjunction with the district security team in Entebbe met with beach managers on Tuesday and agreed that activities at these beaches be temporarily halted as they looked to review safety standards of the beaches.
"A follow-up meeting is going on today because there are minimal standards that the RDC and the mayor arrived at that should be complied with by beach managers.
Those who will be able to meet the deadline of 31st so that they can be openned for the new year celebrations to the satisfaction ofsecurity committee will be granted permission" says Enanga
