The Kwepena experience is back, this time with a bang. The event was launched last year by a University student, Simon Tumukunde. Yet it wasn’t well received at the start, this year’s event promises to attract thousands of youth as the theme is inspired by a charitable cause—together for her. Celebrities like Barbie Itungo and NTV’s Edwin Musiime have confirmed their support towards the cause.
Kwepena is a local game which traditionally played by girls. It involves two people throwing balls at themselves while avoiding to get it.
Barbie is will be the chief player. She has lately been calling on her followers on social media to attend the event. It will take place at the KCCA grounds Lugogo on Oct 29.
The event is tailored to raise funds for teenage mothers. It is organized by a Non-government organization, Reminant generation.
