Singer Iryn Namubiru yesterday lived to the old saying ‘‘OLD is GOLD’ as she wound up her music year with a captivating concert at Serena Hotel’s Victoria Conference Hall for her fans.

By 8:00 PM, the much-anticipated show dubbed ‘OneNightOnly’ looked like it was going to register a low turn up, however, at 8:30 PM, when fans were ushered into the hall serenaded by jazz melodies …. revellers kept on strolling in the hall one by one and by 9 PM the show resurrected from a flop to breathing the singer’s expectation.

Around 9:10 PM, the emcee of the night, Flavia Tumusiime took to the stage making a few apologies as she introduced the main act. No curtain raisers….the show were all about Iryn Namubiru.

When the main act took centre stage dressed in a white dress, the crowd couldn’t help but ulutate while others opted to applaud the singer. The ‘Kacumbali’ singer didn't waste a single second but began her 2 hours and 30 minutes performance with short intervals.

The guest of honour was Buganda Prime Minister Peter Charles Mayiga.

Other celebrities that graced the event included singer, Rema Namakula, Irene Ntale, Halima Namakula, Angella Katatumba, socialite Judith Heard, Guitarist Michael Ouma and many others.
