Rapper Ruyonga has opened up for the first time about the rape allegations that were put against him early this year by a one Umamikazi on Twitter for attempting to rape her friend but when he failed, he drove her along the Northern Bypass in the night and left her in the middle of nowhere.

While appearing on Sanyu FM’s Breakfast show hosted by Salvador on Tuesday, Ruyonga said he didn’t come out then because the accusations were too big for him to handle and that he didn’t know what to do.

He says he had to keep mum, pray and let it pass.

Ruyonga does gospel music largely, and aligns with Pastor Mbonye’s Zoe Fellowship. It was therefore a shock when rape allegations were put against him.
