Rubaga South incumbent Kato Lubwama recently confessed that he is in parliament to 'eat' the taxpayer's money. His statements attracted public outcry but a section of voters applauded him for speaking the truth.

While appearing on a local television, he cemented his earlier statement saying all politicians including him don't want to leave political offices because it pays well.

"We are all in politics for money. It's a profitable business, no one wants  to leave," he said in an interview with a local television.
