Ziza Bafana was one of the people who celebrated when Kalifah Aganaga lost terribly in the Kawempe North by-elections in March this year.
He threw shade at him, and his comments didn't sit well with a section of Ugandans on social media.
Bafana has defended himself, revealing he never intended to harm Kalifah Aganaga, claiming he was quoted out of context.
Bafana explained he is like a brother to Kalifah Aganaga. He contributed heavily to his music career and cannot disrespect him.
"I was misquoted because personally, I don't have anything bad against Kalifah Aganaga. I never harbor ill intentions. Kalifah Aganaga is like a brother to me, and I’m one of the people who helped build his career. I can't go ahead and disrespect him," he explained in an interview with Sanyuka Television.
Ziza Bafana also warned the media against instigating wars among artists. He believes current beef among artists has been fueled by the media.
"That's how you fuel wars. Media and journalists should stop causing wars among artists because it's not good for the industry," he added.
Ziza Bafana has long advocated for unity among artists for the development of the music industry in Uganda.
