Award-winning music star Eddy Kenzo is all set to steal the show at the CHAN 2024 closing ceremony this Saturday, August 30, at Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya.
While the African Nations Championship is coming to a thrilling close with the final match between Morocco and Madagascar, fans will get a bonus treat: an electrifying celebration of African music. And at the center of it all is our very own Eddy Kenzo.
Even though Uganda is no longer in the tournament, Kenzo will proudly represent the nation. His performance is a huge moment of national pride, highlighting Uganda’s role as a joint host of this historic CHAN edition, alongside Kenya and Tanzania.
As the head of Big Talent Entertainment and president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation, Kenzo has become a superstar across the continent. Known for his infectious energy, signature dance moves, and uplifting hits like "Sitya Loss" and "Stamina," he continues to put Uganda on the global map.
He won't be alone on stage. Joining him are Kenya’s Savara (formerly of Sauti Sol) and Tanzania’s Bongo Flava queen Zuchu. Together, this East African trio will be part of what organizers are calling a "musical celebration of regional unity."
