Dark clouds and sadness have fallen all over East Africa as the community mourns the sudden passing of gospel musician Gogo.
News of her death began circulating on social media this afternoon, with reports indicating she breathed her last during the morning hours.
Gogo gained internet fame with her gospel songs, specifically "Blood of Jesus Christ," which earned her a spot among gospel music lovers.
Her spirit-lifting songs enabled her to perform in various countries, including Uganda, where she performed at the Mega Gospel Concerts.
She had recently performed in Mbarara, and at the time of her death, Gogo was still in Kampala, Uganda, where she passed away.
The cause of her demise remains unclear at this time, but reports have pointed to numerous medical challenges.
Bruno K, who was a personal friend of the singer, confirmed her death in a sad tribute he made on social media this morning.
"It's sad news indeed," he explained. "I received a call this morning informing me about Gogo's death. It's confirmed she has gone to meet with the Lord; her manager informed me."
