Dancehall musician Ziza Bafana in late September attended President Museveni's album launch at the event, which took place at Speke Resort Munyonyo.

His attendance sparked controversy among supporters of the National Unity Platform, and the social media brigade took him head-on.

The dancehall singer has opened up on his reasons for attending the event, revealing he attended as Kenzo's friend but not as a supporter of the National Resistance Movement.

Bafana explained he is personal friends with Kenzo, and the pair have a long history together. He wouldn't turn down the invite when he reached out to him.

"I was invited by Eddy Kenzo, and he told me it was about the music industry. You all know how passionate I am about the music. I also wouldn't turn down his invitation because we come a long way as friends. I reached there and didn't finish the event because I realized it was political."

Bafana revealed this as he made the U-turn to maintain his stance as a member of the National Unity Platform.
