Veteran journalist Ivan Kyeyune, the popular voice behind NTV Uganda’s “Zugulu” and Point Black, has confirmed that he will continue working with the Serena-based television station even after being elected to Parliament.
Kyeyune, who has served at NTV for over 15 years, said the media played a crucial role in shaping his career and political journey, and he has no intention of abandoning it.
Speaking in an interview with a local television station, the newly elected legislator explained that media gave him a powerful platform that helped him connect with the public and influence positive change.
“Media made me who I am today. It was not only a platform but also a powerful tool that influenced my journey into politics. I will continue serving in the media even as I go to Parliament to represent my people,” Kyeyune said.
Ivan Kyeyune was elected as the Member of Parliament for Nakasongola Constituency on the National Unity Platform (NUP) ticket.
He says he hopes to balance his roles in both media and politics to continue serving the public and his loyal listeners and viewers.
