Musician Daxx Kartel has revealed that he played a key role in introducing fellow singer Geosteady to the music industry.
According to Daxx Kartel, the two first met while they were still in school, where Geosteady was known for his outstanding performance in academics.
He explained that Geosteady was particularly strong in Mathematics and later even excelled as a science teacher, showing great potential in the education field.
However, Daxx Kartel says he introduced him to music, a move that attracted criticism from some people who believed he had diverted Geosteady from a promising teaching career.
“I found Geosteady while we were still in school. He was very good at Mathematics, he is a science teacher, but I introduced him to music and people judged me for that,” Daxx Kartel said in an interview with a local television station.
Despite the criticism, Daxx Kartel says he has no regrets about encouraging Geosteady to pursue music.
He believes the decision eventually paid off as Geosteady went on to build a successful career in the Ugandan music industry.
