Musician Spice Diana has cautioned fellow artists against putting others down by criticizing their art and craft.
Speaking in an interview with a local television station, the singer explained that every artist has their own fan base and that appreciation varies among audiences.
She added that songs are received and interpreted differently, noting that what may be a hit for one person could be viewed differently by another.
“It’s not right to put down people’s art because they invest a lot of time and effort in it. It’s better to appreciate it, as every artist has a different fan base and the impact of a hit song varies,” she explained.
The singer was responding to reports that Eddy Kenzo had criticized Kadongo Kamu musicians and their music, including artists like Sebatta and Mukaabya, among others.
