Musician Karole Kasita has said she is not under pressure to get married and will only do so when the time feels right for her.
Her comments come amid social media buzz surrounding fellow singer Lydia Jazmine, who is alleged to have held a private Nikkah ceremony earlier this week. Photos circulating online showed Lydia dressed in traditional Muslim attire, sparking speculation about a possible marriage ceremony, although she has not publicly confirmed the reports.
Speaking about her own relationship plans, Karole Kasita said she is not in a rush to settle down and believes marriage should happen naturally between two people who genuinely choose it.
“I will marry at the right time when I choose to do so. It is in the best interest of the people involved and should never be forced. It is a choice that comes naturally when people are in love,” she said in an interview with a local television station.
Karole added that marriage is a personal decision that should be made freely by both partners rather than under pressure from society or public expectations.
